Patrol The Skies 100 LP marks fourteen years of Patrol The Skies Music and brings the label’s past, present and future together across 32 tracks.
Since 2012, Patrol The Skies has been built around a simple idea: find drum & bass we believe in, work with artists we respect, and keep pushing the music forward. Along the way, the label has become home to records and artists from across the spectrum of drum & bass, with a strong connection to the American scene while continuing to work with talent from around the world.
The PTSM 100 LP was put together to represent that entire journey. Four tracks have been remastered for the project, nine classic PTSM releases return to the catalog, and nineteen brand-new tracks bring together longtime members of the label family with a new group of artists joining Patrol The Skies for the next chapter. Rather than simply collecting music from the past, the idea was to choose records that meant something to the history of the label and place them alongside new music that shows where PTSM is headed now.
There are tracks here that have been part of Patrol The Skies almost from the beginning, music that helped define different periods of the label, collaborations that connected different corners of the scene, and completely new records being heard for the first time. Some of the names have been with us for years. Others are just beginning their story with PTSM. Together, they make this album feel less like a retrospective and more like a bridge between everything that brought us here and everything still ahead.
PTSM 100 is a milestone, but it is not a finish line. It is fourteen years of music, artists, friendships and persistence captured in one release, and the beginning of what comes next for Patrol The Skies Music.
